COCKTAIL RECIPE - SOURCE SPRITZ

COCKTAIL RECIPE - SOURCE SPRITZ

COCKTAIL
SOURCE SPRITZ

We recently released Botanical Cocktail Kits, which are a wonderful opportunity to use our tea blends in new and exciting ways, and an opportunity for The Urban Cottage to collaborate with a fellow female led business, Botanikos, based in Melbourne, hand making botanically infused simple syrups to elevate your drink making experience.

This is one of the recipes you'll find in the Source kit.

Source loose-leaf tea is a perfectly balanced blend of sweet, floral, tart, and citrus flavours. With uniquely Australian tastes of Gulbarn, our native lemongrass Maarr, and the crowd favourite lemon myrtle, blended with pink rose petals and hibiscus to brew a delectably pink hue, this tea blend is a wonderful choice for infusing complexity and excitement throughout your drink's recipe index.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED//
45ml rosé vermouth
15ml gin
1.5tsp (7ml) Botanikos Thyme simple syrup
60ml Source Loose-Leaf tea blend
Ice
Fresh sprigs of thyme to garnish

MAKING YOUR COCKTAIL//
Brew one teaspoon of tea per cup in infuser, teapot or plunger.
Pour over 80°C filtered water.
Steep for 5-7 minutes. Strain, then let cool.
Pour rose vermouth, Thyme simple syrup, and gin into wine glass.
Top with Source tea.
Add ice and stir with a long spoon.
Garnish with fresh thyme sprig.
